Marriage is a contract made in due form of law, by which a free man and a free woman reciprocally engage to live with each other as husband and wife legally, economically and emotionally. Marriage contract intended in its origin to endure till the death of one of the contracting parties. Legally, it can only be dissolved by death or divorce. The selection of a marriage partner may involve either the couple going through a selection process of courtship or the marriage may be arranged by the couples' parents or an outside party.
