Aon India’s senior executives quit firm to join Deloitte

KOLKATA: Human resources consulting firm Aon India is witnessing a churn in senior executive levels. Anandorup Ghose, a partner and the head of emerging markets at Aon, who also headed its performance, rewards and organisation practice, has resigned after a nearly 14-year stint and joined Deloitte as a partner to help build a performance rewards vertical at the Big 4 professional services firm.

A team of 15-plus consultants including three directors have left with him, people in the know said.

Those who have left with Ghose include directors Anubhav Gupta, Prakhar Tripathi and Vamsi Karavadi. Gupta was the head of executive compensation and governance at Aon, Tripathi led financial services and Karavadi managed the tech and BPO services. Others who have put in their papers comprise senior and mid-level consultants at associate director, manager and senior consultant levels.

Ghose declined to comment while Deloitte did not reply to an email seeking comment.

A person in the know told ET that compensation and rewards was the missing link in Deloitte’s human capital practice, which it was thinking of executing either organically or inorganically. This will be a focus area going forward, with the human capital practice poised to be around 230-plus people strong, this person added.

Aon confirmed Ghose’s exit. “Tzeitel Fernandes has been appointed the India head for Rewards, Performance and Organizational Effectiveness Practice. Our leadership pipeline stays strong with four India leaders leading the verticals and centres of excellence,” Raymond Everett, the CEO for APAC, Middle East and Africa for Rewards Solutions at Aon, said in an emailed response to ET.

Fernandes, a partner with Aon, has more than 18 years of consulting experience in the areas of executive compensation, employee rewards and organisational effectiveness. She will be supported by a leadership team, including Kumar Subramanian, a partner at Aon who has over 20 years of experience in executive compensation, and Navneet Rattan and Anirban Gupta. In addition, there is an extended team of 280-plus human capital solutions professionals in India.
